Actually, the Coppermine core started with the 566 and later a "533A" was added.
You might have to contact HP re: BIOS support, but your board should at least support up to an old-style 533.
FWIW, though, if this an issue of your whole machine seeming slow the processor upgrade may not gain you so much as you are hoping. Might want to consider setting asside some dough for a new component-based system, either self-built or from a local computer shop.
