Um, I am assuming that these chips are the same as normal ones, just that they come stock with a lower clock multipliers to handle the FSB increase. Am I correct or are there other differences.

If I have a mobo that supported the 266MHz bus and an a processor disigned for a 100MHz bus, say a 1.2G (12 X 100), would I be able to unlock the multiplier and run say (4.5 X 266), provided that I was using the DDR memory?

Since I am looking for a new AMD box I just thought I should get some clarification on this.
