Ditto on the "keep it cool" but I can list off the top of my head maybe 25 or 30 K6 and K6-2 processors (and a K6-III+) that I or friends/family have successfully used. Some of the older board members could probably double or triple that number without even trying.

A bad chip may show up occassionally but this is now twice that you've automatically blamed a problem with multiple possible source points on the CPU w/o enough information to do so (unless you have some inside source on this, enlighten us perhaps?), forgive my being so bold.

What kind of setups are your friends using that they've had so many troubles?

No offense intended...but could you at least explain?
