(MS and tide) Re: Reprograming the SPD (On ram chips)

I wasent able to check the BBS for a while... and now i'm going to need to reformat my computer (long story)

Anyways thanks MS for the info, I'm not sure if the SPD is copy protected (Doubt it though) but if i need an EEPROM writer then i definatly dont think it's worth doing.

I was originally thinking the same as tide (if it's possible withought an EEPROM writer) You know the same way you flash a bios?

I didnt search much on the intel site but i wasent able to find the instructions....

Would you and/or tide know of any programs that would acctully do all the hard work for me? (eg: ask me what CAS latancy i want my ram's SPD set at then flash it for me)?

Tide: If you had a look through the instructions have you attempted to make a small program that does this? If so, were you successfull?
