I'm using an MSI K7T Pro motherboard in a similar case. Whenever I switch on the master power switch (at the back of the case) the system seems to power up for a moment and then shut off. Doesn't seem to actually try to post or anything though. This doesn't happen with my other ATX system (Gigabyte 5AX rev. 4.1 motherboard in a standard ATX case).

I just leave the master power switch on. Isn't that what you're supposed to do with ATX systems? Then you just press the power button at the front to turn it on and let the OS shut if off.
