There is word on the net that the latest Nvidia Detonator drivers have introduced USB device irregularities for a lot of folks out there. I have personally witnessed some of them (the Logitech mouse just decides to turn itself off), and so has a friend (lockups in D3D games with MS USB mouse).

If you're using an Nvidia board, and have the latest drivers installed, you may want to jump back to an older set of drivers, or even the default XP drivers.
