Pushin' a Cely 400 to 600(almost?!?)

CPU TYPE:

INTEL-Celeron

INITIAL CPU SPEED
400 MHz

COOLING METHOD
Win Fab 28 , 2 80 cm Case fans,Bay cooler

FINAL CPU SPEED
558 MHz

CPU SPEED PERFORMANCE AFTER OVERCLOCK: 139.5%

I finally decided to build my own computer after I could'nt Quake 3 Arena to worth a damn on my old DELL 233.Here is what I've got...Abit BE6 2 ,Generic ATX case, Win Fab 28 cooler,Cely 400(slot 1),Aureal Vortex 2500 for sound,GeForce Prophet DDR and a couple of HO Sunon Case fans. First I bumped it to 450Mhz..no prob(75 bus). Then 498Mhz (needed to bump up the voltage to 2.05)still no prob..Then ABIT board came in REAL handy(1Mhz increments with the Soft Menu 3 Bios).Next was 2.2 volts and I had hit 522Mhz..sweet!!I then tried 540 Mhz(feeling cocky)but it was unstable ..??so I up'd the voltage again..this time to the max of 2.3 volts..stable as a rock!!But now I'm starting to hit the limits of both my AGP bus(running at 1/1) and my generic memory(PC66 junk?!)but I must try for more!!! So I begin to bump again...546..552..558!!!Yeah!!But I can't seem to get past 558 and stable without disabling the L2 cache on the Cely(which tanks the performance!!)So finally I'm running Quake 3 Arena with all the bells and whistles(visualy) cranked up and still keeping the FPS at 60.2 in TimeDemo 1!!!!! ....Next is either a celymine 566 and clocking it to 800Mhz or (if I can afford it)a P3 650(CBO stepping)!!!up to 850 or more!!CLOCK TO YOU DROP!!!!!!
