Work Computer

CPU TYPE:

INTEL-Celeron

INITIAL CPU SPEED
333 MHz

COOLING METHOD
none

FINAL CPU SPEED
416 MHz

CPU SPEED PERFORMANCE AFTER OVERCLOCK: 124.924924924925%

This is a somewhat tame overclocking story, but it is a work computer so we had to take it easy. It actually envolves two machines with 333 celeries - one running at 416 and the other at 458. originally no cooling, but i noticed the second machine having fewer hang ups and freezes - it runs about 4 - 5 degrees cooler than mine. also my game performance was dismal. after adding a ati all in wonder. the system started to freeze up even more. taking the side panel off (stays off) and aiming a small table fan at the offensive cpu and video card lowered the temperature by 5 - 7 degrees. almost no freezes and game performance is way better. by game i mean rogue spear uban ops, heavy gear II and alliens vs predator on lan. i wont even try ut on this baby. btw this thing crunches about 1.19 mksec/rc5 in iddle. not bad for an old cripple. The next project was a cellery 500 on a intel 810 cheapo board. darn thing wouldn't even post at 75mhz. well we'll see about that some other time.
